The Banner of Peace, at the source of the 1954 Hague Convention on the protection of
tangible and intangible world cultural heritage, is a symbol protected by
international conventions. It is referred to as the "Red Cross of Culture" on the
official website of the Red Cross. Accordingly, the CIBP cannot endorse any
modification made to the original standard and dissociates itself from any action in this
direction (21 January 2023).
